The Christmas Advert – Creating a Great Video to be Heard this Christmas

The creation of an advert for Christmas appears to have developed into a competition between some of the UK’s major department stores over recent years. In this article, we look at three of the leading contenders for 2016. All of these ads, which were released around mid-November, seek to epitomise the spirit of Christmas and, through creating a symbolic connection with their products, encourage consumers to do their Christmas shopping in their particular store! It’s that time of year. The long, light evenings, flowers in bloom and hopes all pinned on Andy Murray at Wimbledon.

In a recent poll, over half liked salted caramel ice cream. Therefore less than 50 percent didn’t like it. Or to put it another way, one of the two people asked preferred salted caramel, the other wanted plain vanilla, but given no choice didn’t actually mind.
