Recycling video content

Video challenge is about to start…

I am a big believer in recycling. The same comes to video; I am amazed by how businesses spend lots of money on video and never think to reuse the footage or content. Here is a promo video that was made for my book launch and now re-purposed for my video challenge, which starts tomorrow. To recycle this video all I did was edited it shorter by 20 secs, updated the on-screen text, and made an end graphic (it’s a video wall, check it out) and recorded a new voice over.

Leaving the year behind

Leaving the year behind

Tallboy is looking forward to 2017 – it’s the year of the Rooster. In Chinese mythology, roosters are more motivated than any other animals in the Chinese zodiac, and we see a lot of similarity with Tallboy. They’re hard working, multi-talented, and can deal with a variety of jobs. And while we’re looking forward to what 2017 will bring, we can’t help but have a quick look back at 2016. After all, the common name for a rooster is a cock. Enjoy the best of 2016 and in our best Chinese, Gong Hey Fat Choy!

Theatrical creativity

Theatrical creativity

Making videos leads us to all sorts of places and this week we had the pleasure of filming an operation in a hospital theatre. It was a minor procedure, with the patient under local anaesthetic, performed by a small team of just four nurses. (more…)
